Daft Pug

Daft Pug

Daft Pug are a French house trained music duo consisting of two mysterious pugs. Masters of disguise they rarely appear in public as themselves, leading some to critics to claim that they are actually a pair of Alsatians from Basildon. Influenced by Crusftwerk, their first album, 'Dogscovery' featured the top kennel club tunes 'Get Puppies' and 'One Paw Time'.

Shirley Basset

Shirley Basset

Shirley Basset is known by her legion of dog fans as 'Basset the Belter.' She rose to fame in the 1960's with her massive hit, 'Big Spaniel'. She is perhaps most famous for her renditions of the 'James Bonzo' theme tunes, 'Goldpointer' and 'Dalmatians are Forever'. Basset started living as a tax exile in 1968 but returned after two years when she realised that dogs don't have to pay tax.

Jarvis Cocker Spaniel

Jarvis Cocker Spaniel

Jarvis Cocker Spaniel is known as front dog for the band, Pup and as the figurehead of the Britdog movement in the 1990's. Pup found fame with their breakthrough hits, 'Common Poodles' and 'Sorted for Leads and Wizz'. Jarvis was arrested at the BritDog awards in 1996 for attacking Michael Dachshund and after narrowly escaping being pup down, is now forced to wear a muzzle at all public appearances.
